Aegis quality assurance systems encompass defect collection, automated inspection, repair/rework, test, diagnostics, and reporting across the shop floor. Aegis solutions for quality offer unique advantages primarily through their awareness of the data developed by the Product and Process Definition Modules. This connection enables visual and interactive defect collection, process chargebacks, reduced operator transaction overhead, and deeper analytics and reporting than possible with generic quality systems.

PRODUCT INTELLIGENT, GRAPHICAL QUALITY COLLECTION

  • Operator defect collection is achieved not through forms, but on a graphical and interactive view of the product. This technology expedites data entry and reduces errors.

  • Data logging is associated to levels such as geographically, on a component, or on an individual connection enabling richer analysis and reporting.

TEST SYMPTOM DATA ACQUISITION / DEFECT MAPPING

  • Test systems pass Aegis symptom information as well as attribute information.

  • Diagnostic technicians utilize the system to map symptoms to defects causing them, which is available for historical recall to assist future diagnostics.

REWORK / REPAIR GUIDANCE

  • Repair and rework operators are presented a graphical guidance of required work on the image of the product.

  • Defects may be marked as repaired/closed/false positive, which then provides analytic support for not only process yield, but the effectiveness of the inspection processes.

QUALITY REPORTING

  • A broad scope of standard quality, performance, traceability, and job reports are shipped with the Aegis solution, but all customers build their own reports.

  • Reports may be constructed with any formatting or content within the Aegis reporting engine. This engine includes a comprehensive charting tool and supports the use of customizable SQL.

  • Reports may be developed and dispatched to predetermined parties based on system events or simple schedules.

REAL-TIME QUALITY DIAGNOSTICS

  • When process problems are occurring and the source is not known, static reports are not the optimal means to localize and reveal the issue at hand. Aegis provides a web dashboard for interactive drill down into quality and process data from the lines in real-time for this purpose.

STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL (SPC)

  • Aegis employs a comprehensive server-side SPC engine enabling the processing of any measurement or attribute data acquired throughout the system through SPC methods. These methods can then activate alarms and cause other system reactions.
