Aegis controls the movement of
materials from the MRP-controlled stock out to
intercept the process on the factory floor at the
right time, the right place, and for the right
product being built. Aegis systems manage off-line
kitting, cart management, feeder setups,
verification at machines and hand stations, and
trace materials and lot record usage from machines,
hand stations, and repair. The solution manages
components, feeders, carts, consumables, and
tooling.

CENTRALIZED OFFLINE KIT
PREPARATION
-
Component and 'bill of
process' information developed in the
Product and Process Definition Modules guide operators in the
central setups of feeders, carts, and totes
headed to various lines and stations--and verify
the setups are correct before they leave for the
floor.
AUTOMATED FEEDER VERIFICATION
-
Carts, dockable carts, and
feeders are inherently supported from any vendor
or combination of vendors.
-
A web interface guides
operators through setup operations in an
intuitive manner, immediately revealing mistakes
and indicating when proper setup is achieved.
-
Verification may be performed
using barcode or RFID scanners, or with RFID
arrays retrofitable into virtually any machine
for closed-loop, failsafe verification without
any operator transactional overhead.
POINT-OF-USE MATERIALS
VERIFICATION AT ALL STATIONS
-
Aegis materials and
verification technology guides and validates
setups of hand operator stations, rework
stations, and process equipment using the same
web environment as for automated machine setups.
-
Vendor independent.
-
Guide and validate setup of
tooling, consumables, and components on machines
and hand stations.
-
Optional RFID integration
provides failsafe verification of 'tagged'
entities introduced to a station or machine such
as stencils or squeegees, soldering irons, tips,
etc. for the ultimate in setup risk mitigation.
REAL-TIME COMPONENT LOT &
DEPLETION DATA
-
Web browser visibility to
current tooling, materials, and component setups
to all machines and stations factory-wide, as
well as the validity of the setup at each
station for the current job.
-
Through xLink data
acquisition adapters to machines, component
consumption data is fed back to the system for
accurate update of inventory quantities.
-
Hand operator material
consumption, as well as component changes at
repair and rework stations, are reflected in lot
records as well as depletion data.
