Manufacturing Operations Software

Get the Paper Off Your Floor This Month

Digital work instructions, job tracking, and a complete build record. Start with one station and add more when you’re ready.

FactoryLogix replaces printed travelers and work instructions with guided steps on screen at each station, always at the current revision. As operators work, it records each step, so you get production tracking and a full build history for every unit without anyone entering data afterward. Start with one process or run a whole site. Everything you need to run production is included from day one.

How One Job Runs Better Without Paper

Follow one job through the floor both ways. A few paper steps get faster. Most of them go away.

paper

On paper today

  • The traveler is printed.
  • Someone checks it's the current revision.
  • Anyone at the station can start the job.
  • Parts are checked against the sheet by hand.
  • An operator asks how a step is done.
  • Results are written on the sheet.
  • Someone walks the floor to find the job.
  • A defect moves on until someone catches it.
  • Reports are compiled by hand from spreadsheets.
  • Tracing a unit means searching filed paperwork.

With FactoryLogix

  • The job opens automatically at the right station.
  • Revision, operator, and materials are verified first.
  • Guided steps record results as the work happens.
  • Status is on a dashboard.
  • Defects hold the job.
  • Reports and complete traceability are ready.
Count the paper steps your team does today, then multiply by the jobs you ran last week. FactoryLogix takes most of that work off your team.

What You Actually Pay For

Pricing is based on the size of your deployment: the number of operators, stations, and sites. The capabilities you need to run production are included from day one.

That makes a small start practical. Put one station or one process on the system, prove it works, and add the next when you’re ready. The system you start on is the one you keep, so there is no upgrade to buy and nothing to replace later.

Implementation is included, with no separate quote. A standard configuration goes in without a consultant on site, so you can get started without waiting on someone else’s schedule.

From CAD to Station

Every work instruction starts with two things: the CAD data and the bill of materials. In most systems, an engineer copies the part numbers, quantities, and assembly details out of them and types them into the instruction by hand. FactoryLogix imports both, so your engineers build instructions using the information and visuals already there, with nothing to re-enter.

Why that matters more than it sounds

Keeping Instructions in Step with the Design

Retyping takes time, and it leaves you with two copies of the same information: one in the design and one in the instruction. When the design changes, someone has to remember which instructions used the old details and update each one.

Because FactoryLogix instructions are built on the imported product data, each one stays linked to the design it came from. When a revision arrives, your engineers can see which instructions it affects and update them before the next job runs.

This is also a large part of why a first deployment takes weeks. Much of the information your engineers need is already in the data they maintain.

What Changes on a Monday

Each station shows the instructions for the job in front of it, and only the current revision. When a change is published, every station has it immediately. There are no old copies left on a bench, so nobody has to check whether they’re working from the right version.

What the System Handles

  • Author and control

Engineers build instructions from your CAD and bill of materials data and publish them from one place. When a new revision is published, it replaces the old one at every station immediately, so the previous version can’t be used by mistake.

  • Guide and enforce

Operators work through a job step by step rather than reading a document. The sequence is held by the system, required readings are taken where the work happens, and a job will not advance past an unresolved problem.

  • Track and trace

See where every job is, what has been checked, and what failed and why. For any unit that has shipped, the complete build history is on record.

  • icon-gear_nodes

    Support regulated work

Electronic records, audit trails, operator certification, and complete traceability are built into the platform, with no separate compliance module to buy.

  • Connect, visualize, and plan

Machines report into the same record as operators. Dashboards are open to as many people as you want, and Simio Essentials turns the data into a forward-looking schedule.

  • Keep control as you grow

More processes, more stations, more people. The system you started on is the one you keep.

Software Your Operators Will Use

Software pays off when operators use it on every job. In verified reviews of FactoryLogix, ease of use and responsive support are the two things customers mention most.

One job, one screen

One screen, one job, one step. There is nothing to look up and no judgement call about which document applies.

Customers don’t need to wait

A standard configuration goes in without a consultant on your floor, so you are not waiting on someone else’s availability. Guided onboarding and training are available if desired.

See the bottleneck coming

Simio Essentials reads your production data and returns a forward-looking schedule with six dashboards after every run. Nobody needs to know anything about simulation.

ERP optional, not required

There are documented interfaces for the ERP you run. If you do not run one, nothing here depends on it.

About Aegis Software

Aegis Software develops commercial manufacturing operations software. FactoryLogix is our manufacturing execution and operations platform, used by discrete manufacturers worldwide. Simio, part of Aegis Software, adds simulation, scheduling, and digital twin capability working from the same operational data.

Both are commercial products rather than bespoke systems. What you deploy is configured rather than coded, which is why a deployment is measured in weeks rather than development cycles, and why upgrades do not become a project.

No. It runs in shops with a few stations and in global networks. The software is identical. What changes is how much of your operation runs on it.
