Manufacturing Operations Software

Every Plant, One Set of Numbers

One Manufacturing Enterprise. Every Site Connected.

FactoryLogix runs production across your plants. Built-in Simio capabilities show what a decision will do to them before you commit.

Corporate sets common standards, and each plant applies them to its own equipment, routings, and shift patterns. Simio works from the same production data, so you can test added capacity, new equipment, or a shift change across the network before spending the capital, and replan in near real time when conditions change.

Standardize at Your Own Pace, Compare from the Start

Ask four plants the same question and you may get four different answers. Each site has its own processes and its own way of recording information, so the numbers arrive without the context needed to compare them, and reconciling takes weeks.

FactoryLogix records every production event with its context (product, process, equipment, materials, and people) the same way at every plant. You get data you can compare and explain from each site as it goes live, and a practical way to roll common standards out as sites are ready.

  • Set standards where they matter

Define processes, quality rules, and best practices at corporate level, and deploy them to every plant or to the ones that are ready.

  • Leave room for real differences

Each plant works against its own equipment, routings, and shift patterns inside whatever standards sit above it. Sites keep the latitude they need, and corporate keeps the control it needs.

  • The structure does the work

Every plant records data with the same context, so the numbers are comparable and explainable even while some sites are still moving to the common standard.

Where Multi-Plant Rollouts Get Stuck

Multi-plant programs usually go well at the first site. The trouble tends to start at the second or third, and for the same three reasons.

The first plant sets the standard

The first plant is chosen because it's willing, so the configuration reflects how that plant works. The second plant is different, and the standard has to be renegotiated before anything can be deployed.

Sites are asked to change how they work

Corporate needs comparable reporting, so sites are asked to change how they operate. Some push back openly. Others carry on as before and enter data only to meet the requirement.

Results wait for the whole network

Value is deferred until every plant is live, so the program has to justify itself for years before it shows a result. That is hard to sustain through budget cycles and leadership changes.

All three happen when results have to wait for full standardization. FactoryLogix gives you results at each plant while you work toward the standard.

Data Recorded in Context at Every Plant

Most systems collect numbers and leave people to work out what they mean. FactoryLogix records each event with its context at the moment it happens: which product and revision, which process step, which equipment and materials, and who did the work. This is the Contextualized Manufacturing Foundation.

Because that context is captured the same way at every plant, two sites can run very differently and still produce numbers that mean the same thing. When the numbers differ, the reason is already in the data.

Why this is a structural answer, not a process one

Why context has to be captured at the source

Most cross-plant programs standardize the report. Sites are told what to submit and in what format, and any plant that works differently has to translate its data to fit. Context added afterward is a reconstruction, and it varies with whoever did it. When context is recorded with the event, there is nothing to translate, and the same data is ready for reporting, analytics, and simulation.

What You Get

Ask a question about all your plants and one number comes back. Nobody has to reconcile four versions, because the definitions were set when the data was recorded.

What the Platform Handles

  • Define and deploy

Set company-wide standards and deploy them across your plants, with local configuration where operations differ.

  • Maintain cross-site traceability

Follow a product, its materials, its process, its quality results, and who handled it across sites, with the full context kept.

  • Coordinate across sites

See production, quality, and material status across the network, and look into the detail behind any plant's number.

  • Plan and test

Use built-in Simio capabilities to test added capacity, new equipment, or a shift change before you commit the money. Simio works from the same contextualized production data, so what you test reflects how your plants run today. When conditions change, replan in near real time.

  • Roll out

Prove a configuration at one plant and use it as the starting point for the rest. Bring sites live one at a time, by region, or in parallel, on the schedule that suits your business.

Governance, Compliance, and IT

FactoryLogix gives every site the same operational foundation and meets the governance, deployment, integration, and reporting requirements of a global manufacturer.

Compliance and records

Maintain electronic records and audit trails, operator certification, role-based access, calibration, and other controlled manufacturing records.

Deployment and control

Aegis-hosted, on-premises, private cloud or hybrid, with options for regional and regulatory requirements, including Microsoft Azure Government.

Company-wide reporting

Built-in analytics and the Aegis data warehouse cover reporting across your plants, with APIs and OData feeds for your own corporate systems.

The next site is a deployment, not a project

Every plant begins with a configuration already proven at another, so adding a site is a rollout and the implementation doesn't start from scratch.

A model that stays current

Simio models work from current operational data, so nobody has to rebuild or re-export a model by hand. The same model extends into planning and facility design.

Services and support at scale

Support and account management scale with the size of the program and the geographies in which you operate.

About Aegis Software

Aegis Software develops commercial manufacturing operations software. FactoryLogix is our manufacturing execution and operations platform, used by discrete manufacturers worldwide. Simio, part of Aegis Software, adds simulation, scheduling, and digital twin capability working from the same operational data.

Both are commercial products rather than bespoke systems. What you deploy is configured rather than coded, which is why a deployment is measured in weeks rather than development cycles, and why upgrades do not become a project.

Frequently Asked Questions

A multi-site MES (manufacturing execution system) runs production, quality, and traceability at more than one plant on a shared platform. Corporate can set common processes and compare performance across plants, while each site manages its own equipment and schedules.
