Aegis dedicates its efforts to solving manufacturing productivity problems through software. The Company mission statement begins with “…software for manufacturing, created by manufacturing engineers…” as Aegis was founded by people who worked as engineers in the factory office, supporting the factory floor.This real-world experience with impediments to productive manufacturing makes Aegis products well structured to eliminate these impediments. A fundamental knowledge of manufacturing pervades the Company, its products, and its support services.

PRODUCT DIRECTION

Aegis’ founders created the original products to solve the problems they experienced in production. This pursuit continues today. It is evident in Aegis' unique “system” solution and best-in-class information platform. A platform encompassing a functional scope unmatched in the industry.

VALUES

Companies have philosophies driving their culture and employees. They aren’t always documented, but every company has one. Philosophy is something discussed at Aegis quite often. Maintaining corporate integrity is a matter of pride at the company—and something we believe distinguishes Aegis from many software vendors. So many professionals in every aspect of manufacturing have been sold a software vision, invested resources, and ultimately found reality to be very different than the vision. Software companies are infamous for unfulfilled roadmaps, service issues, and broken commitments.

Aegis knows this is not the path to long-term success, and working with such an organization is not comfortable for anyone. The Aegis corporate culture and philosophy demands honesty in the sales and promotion process, honoring commitments, software value, and respect for the customer’s investment.

Aegis employees are enthusiastic about our mission and proud of their work in the industry because they know their colleagues and Management share this philosophy. Support engineers know they won’t be ashamed to support a customer who was "oversold" by sales personnel. Sales people know they can trust engineering delivery dates and product quality at release. Engineers know marketing will remain within the confines of what can actually be achieved with the software.
