CIRCUITCAM VIEWPORT REDUCES OVERHEAD AND PROVIDES
SUPERIOR ASSEMBLY INFORMATION
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Aegis Industrial Software’s CircuitCAM
ViewPort module is a progressive step toward a “paperless” factory. By
reducing the amount of overhead consumed in paper-based documentation
management and revision control, ViewPort provides a superior level of
assembly information, including full-motion video/audio and automatic
Internet access, not possible via paper instructions.
ViewPort displays all information created by CircuitCAM, including
visual aids, hyperlinks, videos, and linked documents. The module also
makes revision control simpler and reliable. All documents associated
with a particular assembly contain the same revision and configuration
information. When an engineer makes a change to a particular assembly,
every document associated with that assembly is immediately updated.
Additionally, linked ISO documents are updated automatically even if
CircuitCAM was not used to make the change.
ViewPort also provides inspection assistance by searching for components
on large boards automatically. Simply highlighting a part number or
package type is all that is necessary to retrieve technical information
on a part or device. Hyperlinking to pre-defined sites for specification
control drawings or corporate documents are a single click away.
