CIRCUITCAM REPORTING MODULE PROVIDES PAPERLESS
DOCUMENTATION OF THE ASSEMBLY PROCESS
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Aegis Industrial Software’s CircuitCAM
Reporting Module instantly provides a variety of full-color outputs for
assembly documentation, machine programs, and routing data for printed
circuit board (PCB) assembly work packages. Each report can be
configured to contain references, part numbers, descriptions, and
quantities for each point along the PCB assembly line, including digital
images.
Included is the DPMO Report which enumerates opportunities for solder
defects and polarity insertion errors across an entire assembly,
including a count of the individual solder joints for complete
inspection assistance; and the Component Lead Forming Report, which
lists the lead span on through-hole components to assist operators in
setting up lead forming equipment.
Even though Reporting was created to establish a “paperless” factory,
printable, color-coded labels with basic part information can be sent
directly to a color printer via a network connection. The module
utilizes standard Avery™ brand self-adhesive labels that can be used on
feeders, kitting bins, or during hand assembly.
Aegis develops CIM software for the electronics industry, capable of
optimizing every stage of PCB assembly. Aegis’ product suite combines
CAD/CAM data preparation, management automation, supplier and customer
integration, plant-floor manufacturing execution, and quality functions
into one seamless, browser-based software system for the electronics
industry. CircuitCAM FUSION modules represent state-of-the-art CIM
technology built completely on Microsoft development platforms and
utilizing modern Windows software technologies such as OLE, video,
audio, Internet support, and fully open data architectures.
