CHECKPOINT SOFTWARE WINS COVETED EP&P EXCELLENCE
AWARD
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Aegis Industrial Software Corporation was awarded the
prestigious Excellence in Electronic Packaging and Production Award for
its CheckPoint Product Data Management software at the recent EtroniX
show in Anaheim, CA. The competition, in its tenth year, recognizes
significant achievement in developing products, materials, and equipment
that contribute to the advancement of electronics packaging and
production.
In judging the competition, a panel of industry experts looked for
products that demonstrate a significant reduction in manufacturing
costs, that offer improved yield or performance, and that exemplify an
ongoing commitment to quality engineering standards.
CheckPoint processes data at the beginning of the printed circuit board
assembly process. CheckPoint imports, parses, analyzes, and archives
bills of materials (BOMs) and approved vendor lists (AVLs) under
electronic revision control – traditionally, a very slow, manual, and
error-prone process. CheckPoint software eliminates the arduous tasks of
manually checking BOM.s for errors and revision level, processes that
can virtually halt new product introduction. When used as the product
data manager of FUSION, the company’s new TransCollaborative
Manufacturing (TCM) software suite, CheckPoint becomes the corporate
revision management and collaborative electronic signature and approval
engine.
