AEGIS ANNOUNCES OEM RE-SELLER AGREEMENT WITH PHOTON DYNAMICS
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Aegis Industrial Software Corporation,
developer of CircuitCAM FUSION TransCollaborative Manufacturing (TCM)
software, announces an OEM reseller agreement with Photon Dynamics,
Inc., a global supplier of integrated yield management solutions for the
display, electronics, and glass markets. Previously, Aegis was an OEM
reseller partner with CR Technology, Inc., which Photon Dynamics
acquired in 1999, and most recently with, Intelligent Reasoning Systems,
Inc., also acquired by Photon Dynamics in 2001.
Under this new agreement, Photon Dynamics will offer CircuitCAM software
for rapidly converting CAD and Gerber data into complete machine
programs for all Photon Dynamics automated optical inspection (AOI) and
automated optical & X-ray inspection (AOXI) systems.
Photon Dynamics' customer, Jim Roche, manager of manufacturing
engineering at MC Assembly says, "Our factory is automated with Aegis
technology, and by using CircuitCAM as our machine programming gateway
for our Photon Dynamics' AOI system, SV-4000, we are able to generate
complete data downloads quickly and efficiently with the elimination of
manual processes often required with other computer integrated
manufacturing. We believe that the powerful combination of Aegis and
Photon Dynamics will continue to provide our factory with increased
quality and efficiency."
