AEGIS INTRODUCES iQ QUALITY SOFTWARE FOR WEB-CENTRIC
PROCESS DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Aegis Industrial Software Corporation
introduces iQ software, part of their Enterprise Productivity Solutions
that provide visibility of manufacturing information on the factory
floor and beyond. iQ brings dramatic improvements to product quality,
along with reductions in labor, scrap, and rework costs by providing
dynamic quality data collection and analysis via the web.
iQ collects defect information from the manufacturing process via
browsers displaying interactive and graphical renderings of the product,
or through automated data collectors to process equipment. It drives web
reporting, quality analysis, and automates the re-routing and repair
process. As iQ tracks quality, information is compared against quality
standards established in its libraries and alerts are sent via
e-mails/pages to the appropriate personnel when process is going out of
control. Using iQ, customers have real-time visibility to the capability
of their process to produce a quality product, and they are assisted in
the steps that must be taken to correct quality issues.
iQ is built upon the multi-tier web architecture of the AEGIS FUSION
system, ensuring stability even in massive deployments. It offers the
customer a superior solution to generic quality systems through true
integration to a single information server of product revisions,
complete BOM data, and total process intelligence. Access to this
information affords the customer better control, intuitive operation,
and a truly process-intelligent solution.
