FUSION 5.0 INCORPORATES MICROSOFT .NET XML WEB
SERVICES ARCHITECTURE
PHILADELPHIA, PA – With the release of FUSION 5.0, AEGIS
strengthens its position as the technological leader in manufacturing
productivity software. Version 5.0 is electronics manufacturing’s first
product data and process management software utilizing the empowering
technologies of the Microsoft .NET architecture. The web-centric
paperless factory, product tracking, quality management, and extended
enterprise visibility functions of FUSION are now delivered through this
state-of-the-art software architecture. The FUSION 5.0 Information
Server is constructed of XML web services, offering users unprecedented
efficiency, scalability, and openness to third party systems and custom
integration. To accommodate any demand on any IT platform, the FUSION
back-end now operates on Windows, Unix, AIX, and Linux servers, and
supports multi-threaded, load balanced logic servers, web servers, and
data servers.

model of development, to the first Distributed iNternet Architecture
(DNA) software architecture in electronics assembly. FUSION 5.0 offers
customers the most scalable and integrated web-centric solution for
