AEGIS ANNOUNCES TECHNOLOGY AGREEMENT WITH FUJI
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Aegis Industrial Software Corporation, the
leader in Manufacturing Productivity Software for electronics
assemblers, announces a technology integration agreement with Fuji
Machine Manufacturing Company Ltd.
Under the agreement, CircuitCAM’s off-line machine programming gateways
now include seamless integration with Fuji Flexa – Fuji’s latest
generation programming and line management software. The integration,
which uses an application programming interface (API) linking the two
applications, provides assemblers with a seamless off-line programming
experience and unprecedented flexibility. The interface blurs the
traditional line between the factory CIM software and the machine
programming system, and eliminates redundant off-line libraries through
use of the actual Fuji databases. The combined solution quickly and
easily generates multi–vendor machine programs and assembly
documentation from CAD or Gerber data. In addition, Fuji users can
enhance the value of their Flexa system by including it as part of the
extended suite of AEGIS new product introduction tools, revision control
systems, and manufacturing executions solutions.
Jason Spera, CEO, Aegis said, “The open interface from Aegis solutions
to the Fuji platform gives customers the best both vendors have to
offer, in a seamlessly integrated package.
Fuji’s choice to open their programming system at this sophisticated
level offers real value for the customer. Aegis sees this technology as
the future. It fulfills the need for a consolidated and simplified
factory information system.”
