AEGIS SWEEPS SOFTWARE AWARDS AT APEX 2004
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Aegis Industrial Software Corporation, the
leader in Manufacturing Productivity Systems for electronics assemblers,
was recognized for industry innovation and best-in-class customer
service by earning two coveted awards during APEX 2004 in Anaheim CA.
On Monday February 23rd, Circuits Assembly Magazine presented Aegis with
their 4th consecutive Annual Service Excellence Award in the
Manufacturing Software Category. Participating companies were rated on a
scale of 1 (poor) to 5 (superior) in five customer satisfaction
categories: dependability; ease of use; responsiveness; technology; and
value for price. Aegis earned top honors with an overall score of 4.86.
On Tuesday February 24th, Aegis’ iMonitor web-based line monitoring
system with enterprise SPC capability was recognized with the 2003 SMT
Vision Award from SMT Magazine. The award was presented by SMT
Magazine’s Publisher John Bubello to John Walls, CTO, Jason Spera, CEO,
and Dan Walls, COO during an Awards ceremony held at the Hilton in
Anaheim, CA.

Aegis iMonitor v 2.0 with SPC earned the Vision Award. This web-based
software system is the most comprehensive, enterprise-wide production
and machine monitoring system for total visibility and process control.
The system operates on XML CAMX data, which Aegis has made possible
through its partnerships with over 30 machine vendors, and its xLink
CAMX Transmitters embedded in the machines. iMonitor is also compatible
with legacy GEM and proprietary protocols. iMonitor Version 2.0
introduces the industry’s only enterprise-wide SPC engine. This engine
enables companies to analyze any variable or attribute data collected
from operators or machines, and reacts to process variability through
Westinghouse, AT&T, Nelson, and Shewhart SPC methods. iMonitor brings
visibility and real-time process control across machines, lines, and
factories.
