AEGIS EUROPE APPOINTS NEW VALUE-ADDED RESELLER FOR
GERMANY, SWITZERLAND, AND AUSTRIA
Cheltenham, UK – Aegis Industrial Software (Europe) Limited, a
leader in manufacturing productivity software systems for global
electronics assemblers, has announced the appointment of Herbert Schmidt
GmbH as its principal reseller for Central Europe. Herbert Schmidt GmbH
will now represent two significant software products, C-Link from
Digitaltest, a best-in-class Electrical Test program generation suite,
and Aegis CircuitCAM and CheckPoint which form part of Aegis New Product
Introduction suite for SMT program generation and document creation and
delivery. The company will also market Aegis Manufacturing Execution
suite covering product and materials tracking, quality with statistical
process controls, electronic sign-off and full level-four traceability.
The senior management team of Herbert Schmidt GmbH - Herbert Schmidt
(president) and Wolfgang Reuber (vice president) - has several decades
of experience in the distribution of solutions for the electronics
manufacturing industry with a strong commitment to customer support.
Prior, the company had a controlling interest in Fabmaster S.A., the
international vendor of CIM (computer integrated manufacturing) software
quoted on the Paris New Market, up until its acquisition by Tecnomatix
Technologies (NASDAQ: TCNO).
Commenting on the new partnership, Herbert Schmidt said, “We are very

them at Apex 2004 and have been following their progress very closely,
the power of their NPI suite is remarkable and the MES suite is leading

Herbert Schmidt GmbH offering industry proven solutions based on
