AEGIS INTEGRATES UNIVERSAL INSTRUMENTS’
GENESIS/ADVANTIS/GSM PLATFORM OPTIMIZATION ENGINE
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Aegis Industrial Software Corporation, the leader in
Manufacturing Information Management Systems is pleased to announce the
incorporation of Universal Instruments’ optimization engine within the
Aegis offline programming environment. The integration provides superior
Universal Instruments Company (UIC) Genesis/Advantis/GSM platform
optimization and library management supporting the many options and
configurations of these platforms with total assurance of current and
forward compatibility.
Recognizing that a majority of their customers use third-party software
systems such as Aegis for programming both UIC and other automated
equipment in their factory, UIC developed a strategy that permits
software providers to automatically invoke UIC's optimizer engine within
their environment in a manner that is transparent to the customer. The
optimizer engine supplied by UIC also provides data checking and
simulation to ensure valid results.
Now all UIC customers can complete their programming effort in a single
environment using the Aegis software suite. Aegis offers a full editing
environment for UIC's GSM/Genesis/Advantis/ equipment. All changes are
reflected in UIC's software via CDI, CI2 or SRFF file formats.
