AEGIS DISTRIBUTOR, KVMS BELGIUM, SECURES NEW BUSINESS
WITH ELECTRONICS ASSEMBLERS
CHELTENHAM, UK – 22 September 2005 – Aegis Europe, a leader in
Manufacturing Information Management systems for global electronics
assemblers, has recently sold its manufacturing information software for
process definition, documentation and advanced machine programming to
electronics assembly companies LHM (in Belgium) and ABS (in Holland).
This business comes through KVMS, the established and successful Aegis
distributor, headquartered in Belgium. LHM and ABS have purchased
CircuitCAM, documentation and advanced off-line machine programming with
line balancing.
Commenting on the recent implementations, Jasper van Meerten, CEO at
KVMS, said, “LHM and ABS needed to significantly reduce the time taken
in preparing jobs going into production. They both selected the Aegis
software based on the company’s excellence, affordable and proven
ability in software solutions built up from the grass roots, the factory
floor. For example, the Aegis Documentation Manager covers the whole
factory floor, not just the front-end processes.”
“The Aegis systems will expedite and control these companies’ advanced
manufacturing processes and product data definition for new product
introductions. Both customers estimate that the software will save one
extra engineer in the production preparation department,” Jasper added.
Aegis systems allow manufacturers to merge the bill of materials with
the supplied CAD data to support rapid New Product Introduction for
multiple lines and multiple processes, with built-in process and BOM
revision control. CircuitCAM defines the logical routings, aiding fast
and consistent data preparation and delivery of programs to machines,
documentation to manual assembly stations, and task and checklists to
all locations from printing to AOI to repair to box-build. The Aegis
software handles all off-line machine programming and optimization
needs, manages balance line allocations, machine libraries while
creating the bill of process for each station and machine along the
entire route, for later use on the factory floor.

of use, intelligent interfacing and technical product depth, from the
office to the factory floor. KVMS also provided excellent on-site

share for us in the Benelux market.”
