AEGIS SELECTED BY SILICON FOREST FROM PROCESS
PLANNING TO EXECUTION
Philadelphia, PA – Aegis Industrial Software Corporation (Aegis), the
leader in Manufacturing Information Management Systems, has been
selected by Silicon Forest Electronics, Inc. (Silicon Forest) to
expedite and improve product launch and shop floor execution. Silicon
Forest has built their reputation for fast and reliable customer
response to product launch and engineering changes using Aegis’ New
Product Introduction (NPI) systems for several years. The decision to
expand from Aegis’ NPI into its full Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
solution will greatly increase their ability to meet and exceed the
stringent shop-floor information management demands of their clients,
particularly in the defense market.

Silicon Forest is leveraging the value of having based their
manufacturing information backbone in Aegis’ hands by expanding
seamlessly from process planning into manufacturing execution.
Partnering with Aegis means their existing NPI systems use the same
information platform as their MES system and does not require a
migration process to move into greater enterprise functionality. With
the new extended Aegis solution, Silicon Forest now enjoys an automated
and high-velocity path from customer data, process planning, and
document generation, through paperless dispatching, product tracking and
quality, and repair automation.
