Aegis considers training to be an
extremely important part of every implementation.
The Aegis Project Manager works with the Aegis
Training Department to ensure that MES trainings are
properly tailored to specific Customer needs.
Trainings may be conducted at one of several Aegis
locations or on-site at the customer’s facility.
Aegis assists the customer in identifying what
personnel should be trained and deciding where and
when training should take place. During the
implementation process, Aegis conducts several types
of training. These include:
POWER USER / TRAIN-THE-TRAINER
The train-the-trainer (Power User)
training is for those individuals who will most
likely need to know the entire system inside and
out. It is an advanced training that takes place
early in the deployment process and is specifically
designed for system administrators, engineers, and
floor managers and/or supervisors. The training is
in-depth enough that the Power Users will be
equipped with the knowledge necessary to train
additional personnel in their facility.
END-USER / OPERATOR TRAINING
Prior to deployment in a production
environment and pending a successful staging or
pilot roll-out, end-user /operator training can
begin. The operator training can be conducted by
Aegis personnel or by an advanced Customer
Implementation Team member that has been certified
in the “Train-the-Trainer” course.
IT SYSTEM SUPPORT & MAINTENANCE
TRAINING
Aegis’ IT Deployment Engineers
perform a knowledge transfer with appropriate
Customer IT personnel prior to the end of
implementation. Such personnel are given detailed
system information and maintenance and performance
tuning recommendations to allow them to properly
support the mission-critical Aegis system. Aegis
will also assist in documenting escalation paths to
ensure that issues are reported, diagnosed, and
resolved as accurately and expeditiously as
possible.
