With companies like Microsoft promoting their HoloLens for design and manufacturing environments, Augmented Reality (AR) is finding its way into today’s factory, promising value through increased visibility. But what AR concepts are already being applied today, delivering measurable value for the operator, the manufacturer, and the end customer?
In this media interview, SCOOP founder Philip Stoten sits down with Jason Spera, CEO of Aegis Software, Jörg Richstein, Senior Director of Engineering Services at Jabil, and Michael Manansala, Vice President of Technology at Zollner Elektronik. Watch the video for an executive account of:
- How technology partnerships are driving innovation for AR
- AR benefits for high volume manufacturing, including improved accuracy for operators
- Training today’s workforce – A universal instruction model with AR

Great video! I think Jason was on target with his comments about AR and the benefits to the operator on the manufacturing floor. Take a look at what AGCO is doing in their plants.
