A contract electronics assembler, Distron employs Aegis’ software in their extensive manufacturing lines. This recent enhancement addresses the company’s need for more comprehensive traceability and data acquisition.

Offering both board-level and final assembly services, Distron originally implemented Aegis’ New Product Introduction (NPI) software in late 2006 to streamline the company’s manufacturing process. Due to increasing regulatory requirements for traceability in Distron’s core markets of Medical Device and Aerospace/Defense, and the company’s positive experience with Aegis’ NPI software, the company has implemented Aegis’ full MOS suite in their assembly line. The advanced data acquisition, compilation, and visibility features of Aegis’ MOS are essential to Distron due to a recent expansion to Distron’s manufacturing capabilities and the installation of new SMT assembly systems.
