Lenzing Technik’s FactoryLogix System will be Comprehensive and Highly Integrated

Electronics Manufacturer

Lenzing Technik GmbH, part of the Lenzing Group, specialises in creating medical, electronic and electro-mechanical components and devices. Their services include consultation, development, prototyping and stock production of mechanical and electronic components from PCBs to complete products. With EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 13485 (medical technology) qualifications the company also offers individual testing, sustainable life cycle management and complete assembly production facilities.

Lenzing Technik has purchased a comprehensive FactoryLogix MES system to handle NPI, production, logistics and analytics. The MES software will be closely integrated with an ERP system as well as interfaced with SAP through specially-developed software. The entire solution will be applied to the PCB manufacturing area, with logistics functions from receiving through storage to order picking, as well as order planning with material reservation. Quality, traceability and usage data will be made available from direct integration of the production systems.

The FactoryLogix NPI module will handle data processing, maintenance and care as well as management and configuration of the system. It will also manage data supply to the AOI, insertion and placement machines. The Logistics module will look after data acquisition, labelling of material containers, order-related material planning and material reservation, and support for wireless terminals in the storage area.

The Production Core module will manage initial recording of serial numbers for serialized products at manual workstations as well as capturing manual THT assembly information and throughput data associated with AOI. Data entry and acquisition for testing and repair is also included. Both SMD lines will have ProductionView modules for displaying documentation and work instructions. Data will also be automatically transferred between the software and AOI, MYDATA and other machines.

Analytics functions include interactive data analysis, maintenance and care of report templates and dashboards. Additionally, a number of Dashboard licenses for display of live data anywhere around the facility are being provided. Commissioning, training and testing effort will also be provided by Aegis.
